Spring Get Together 2010
On Saturday 29th May we held our Spring Get Together at the usual Parkway Sports and Social Club, Ernesettle, Plymouth, and despite he first rain in some time, they turn out was good. Historically the Spring Get Together is les well attended than the Christmas one, and this was also the case this time, but those who attended had a great time.
There was a mix of regualr faces and a small prinkling of new ones, which is always welcome, with many a 'yarn' and 'sea story' recalled by shipmates young and old.

Thank You Roy and Sid
During the Get Together a special presentation was made to retiring Committee members Roy Fifield and Sid Kneebone in recognition of their sterling work over the years. Chairman Brian Westmore and Secretary Eddie Wilton presented Roy and Sid with tankards engraved with the RMAS crest and their name and dates they served on the Committee. The local newspaper The Herald were on hand to record the event.

Eddie paid tribute to Roy and Sid who have worked hard over the years to make the
Association as successful as it is. Roy who was a founder member of the Committee,
became Treasurer in 1993, whilst Sid joined the Committee and was Vice-
Welcome Mike
Following the departure of Roy and Sid from the Committee we asked for volunteer to join us to help out and fill the void left by Roy and Sid. Mike Baines put himself forward and we are pleased to welcome him in to the fold. So thank you Mike.
